Graduate Assistant II, The Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies

Estella (Manzhu) Jiang holds a BA in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Philosophy from Pennsylvania State University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of race, gender, sexuality, and decoloniality under transnational contexts, which she plans to pursue through cultural and archival studies, critical legal studies, and science and technology studies. Her proposed doctoral work will examine gendered migration and international marriage, exploring entanglements of nationalities, visa statuses, and government surveillance with regard to Asian migrant women’s experiences in the United States.
