The Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Friday, February 9, 2024 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm Susquehanna Hall, 4105

Join us for the last meeting of the Seed Beads series. Finish up a project or start something new! This week we'll be reading an excerpt from the book Bad Indians: A Tribal Memoir by Deborah A. Miranda (Ohlone-Costanoan Esselen Nation).

--

Join us for Bead, Weave, and Read, a monthly workshop where we explore different crafting traditions while we visit. This series focuses on crafts such as beadwork, basket-weaving, earring making, loom skills, and more, each complemented by thought-provoking readings from Indigenous women and Two Spirit authors. Each session lasts 1.5 hours with new crafts and reading introduced every three sessions. All crafting supplies, snacks, and reading are provided - just bring your curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm! Supplies and space limited. This semester we'll meet on the 2nd Friday of every month.
