Join students for the second Social Justice Hangout of the semester on Mutual Aid. Lead by Dr. Jaime Madden, students will explore the key elements and long history of mutual aid as a form of social justice activism and work together to think about how they can engage in their communities. 

The UMD Campus Pantry will also join the event. Attendees are encouraged to bring canned and nonperishable items. For more information on the Campus Pantry and to see their list of most needed items, you can visit them at their website.

In keeping with the mission of the Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Social Justice Hangouts bring together students all over campus to learn about and discuss prominent social justice issues. It's never too late to make new friends and learn something new.
