The Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality (WGSS) has just created a short video to highlight our department and undergraduate programs. In this video the department's interim chair, Dr. Ashwini Tambe, and undergraduate advisor, Gwen Warman, provide viewers with an introduction to the field of women, gender, and sexuality studies; the reasons people often study WGSS; our undergraduate major, certificates, and minors; and offers a quick introduction to using our new website.

We hope to give students who are enjoying their WMST or LGBT courses the information they need to identify how our major, certificates, or minors can fit into their education at UMD and to simplify the process of joining the WGSS community. This video also offers a quick exploration into the types of career skills one learns in this field and range of careers our alumni have pursued.
