WGSS Undergraduate Research Scholarship Applications now open!

Applications for the Spring 2024 WGSS Undergraduate Research Scholarship are now open to all students studying in WGSS.

The Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies is pleased to invite all WGSS and LGBTQ major, minor and certificate students to apply for research funds, made available through the Mellon Foundation, in Spring 2024. WGSS will fund 1-2 students in the amount of $1500-$3000 for research to be conducted during the course of the Spring 2024 semester. All recipients will be expected to present their research findings during the 2024 WGSS Undergraduate Research Day, on May 1. 

Interested applicants should submit a 300-500 word project narrative, research and completion timeline, 100 word description of how they will use the funds, and a budget to wgss@umd.edu no later than January 22, 2024. Please be sure to include your name and "Undergraduate Research Scholarship" in the subject line of your email.
