2026 WGSS Undergraduate Research Day and Celebration of Graduates

2026 WGSS Undergraduate Research Day and Celebration of Graduates

The Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Wednesday, May 6, 2026 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies welcomes you to join us for the 2026 WGSS Undergraduate Research Day & Celebration of Graduates, an event combining our annual presentation of Undergraduate Research with a recognition of August & December 2025 and May 2026 graduates. Please join us as we highlight the academic work of students across the department, recognize our graduates across the Harriet Tubman Department programs, and announce our annual Outstanding Undergraduate Student Awards.

Any student in a WGSS program or course is invited to present work and receive feedback and questions from peers and professors in WGSS. Posters, oral presentations, films, art projects, displays, and performances are all welcome. Presenting can be useful for resume building for graduate school, scholarships, internships, and careers. This is also an opportunity to see the broad range of work being produced in WGSS /LGBT courses and by WGSS/LGBT students, to meet Department faculty member, and to celebrate the expansiveness of our field.

Graduates and presenters are encouraged to invite their friends and family.
